Is your Ram college-ready?  It’s time to confirm links between student Khan Academy accounts and their College Board accounts.

Students are encouraged to practice for the SAT on the Khan Academy, which offers free, personalized student practice for these important tests.  Some Millikan students who have utilized the online tool report gains of as much as 200 points on the SAT and PSAT, which can lead to college admissions and scholarships.

All students will need to bring their log-ons for the Khan Academy and the College Board starting on January 31st, when school staff will begin checking the links via Chromebooks in the classroom or visits to one of our computer labs.  Staff will also be registering juniors for the April SAT; freshmen and sophomores take the PSAT in October.

Students and parents can confirm log-ons and passwords utilizing the attached presentation.  Students should not have multiple College Board or Khan accounts.

Students of all grade levels can contact the College Board at 866-630-9305 (note new number) with account questions, and visit the link below for Khan Academy concerns.  Students may visit Room 301 or College and Career Center, Room 323 A, during lunch or periods 7 and 8 if help is needed.

In addition to sending more students to the colleges of their dreams, our school can earn an incentive grant of up to $9,000 with these links.  Last year’s grant pays for peer tutoring the library as well as new materials to support literacy efforts at the school.

All accounts must be verified by February 17 to earn the grant.  We hope to rally our whole campus to support our juniors.

Parents and students should begin verifying accounts at home starting now.  Thank you for helping our Rams to be college-ready!

All the best,

Millikan College and Career Readiness Team
